Each year the 6th grade learns about a certain Country and its history..Last year they did China, this year they did Ancient Greece, so of course they were able to do the Greek Gods.
When they are all done learning about the history of it they put on a fair for the entire school and each class does a project/activity to show part of the culture. It is such a great opportunity for all the grades. I am a visual learner so this seems just fantastic to me.
They were suppose to hold the fair outside and of course it was a down pour so they had to move it indoors. K.bugs class was in charge of Archery, another class did relay races, they were supposed to do chariot races ....but the weather made that impossible.
K.bug dressed as a Greek Goddess boy did she look older and make me feel old and sad and....well ya know how it is when they get all grown up on ya :(
It was a great fair they had made these Huge books full of information on the culture of Ancient Greece. The children put a ton of work into this and I think they all learned a lot.
