Tonsil Free Tornado

Tornado has had strep 4 times since September has missed numerous days in school and felt down right crummy way to many  times for a spunky 7 year old..... so we ban strep from our home yesterday!  We went to see the ENT Wednesday who said well lets do this thing Friday!....btw Dr. Meads is a great ENT if ya need one we have used him twice now and have had a great experience both times.
I was surprised that we were able to do it so quickly but so glad that means no MAJOR recovery during the holidays.
Thank heavens Justin was able to get the day off and go with us, Jedi had a bad reaction to Loritab so it was not a fun experience.  I was so grateful to have my wonderful man by my side and Tornado was so relieved to have him there too.
We headed to South Towne surgical center to get the procedure done and once again had the wonderful RN Tom.  He was Jedi's RN for his tonsils and he was my RN for my procedure.  He is absolutely the best nurse to have for children he is hysterical and makes sure you understand that YOU are the most important person there and YOU make the rules not somebody havin a crappy day.
So instead of being so uptight and scared Tornado laughed her way into sleepy land.  The anesthesiologist who was also hysterical said she quite literally laughed the whole way.   Knowing your child is at ease (as much as they can be) for surgery makes all the difference in the world.
She was in and out in 20 minutes, she was awake about 15 min after that and was so excited to have her giant puppy that her bro and sister bought for her.  She was able to go home about 45 min later...What a trooper!
recovery see that big dog!

waiting after RN Tom came to visit

Her new Flip Flop!  LOL this is where they put her IV
She asked to stop for frozen yogurt so we did YUM!  She then had 2 bowls of ramen (her fave).  She ahs continued to drink consistently just like they asked her too.  she requested Chinese for dinner and ate every bit of it.  She WON'T sit still for a second...sure hope she can keep going like this and recovers as quick as she seems to be.  She is mad about missing a whole week of school. (yes I am thanking God right now for her love of school).  Here are a few pics from her event!  Thank you for the prayers!
